STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dropped its first MAC Commonwealth match of the season in a 7-0 setback to Messiah.
Tiffany Njemanze and
Mackenzie Dicke picked up Stevenson's lone victory on the day by a 6-3 score in No. 3 doubles - improving their record to 4-0 on the year.
Ariella Stepleman and
Shelby Carter fell to 10-2 on the year in their 6-2 loss in No. 1 singles.
Sofia McCoy and
Kara Chwang's record fell to 5-2 in their 6-3 setback in No. 2.
Stepleman and Chwang both lost their singles matches by scores of 6-3, 6-1. Carter overcame a one-set deficit in No. 2, but would fall in her match, 6-2, 3-6, 6-0.
Yana Vaiman dropped a hard-fought opening set before falling by a 7-6 (7-0), 6-2 margin.
Stevenson (7-5, 2-1 MACC) will look to get back on track in a road match against DeSales on Sunday, April 13 at 12:30 p.m.
