STEVENSON, Md. - The 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth Tennis Championships are officially underway, with both the Stevenson men's and women's teams set to compete in semifinal action this week.
The Men's Tennis Championship semifinals will begin Tuesday, April 29. The No. 4-seeded Mustangs will travel to face No. 1-seeded Messiah University at 3:30 p.m. In the other semifinal matchup, No. 3-seeded Albright College will travel to No. 2-seeded York College, also with a 3:30 p.m. start time. The championship match will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Friday, May 3, with the winner earning an automatic bid to the 2025 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Tournament.
Stevenson enters postseason play with an overall record of 7-10, while Messiah holds a 9-7 record. The two teams previously met during the regular season, with Messiah earning a 7-0 victory.
The Women's Tennis Championship semifinals will begin Wednesday, April 30. The No. 4-seeded Mustangs will travel to No. 1-seeded Albright College for a 3:30 p.m. matchup. No. 3-seeded York College will take on No. 2-seeded Messiah University at the same time. As with the men's tournament, the championship match will be hosted by the highest remaining seed on Friday, May 3, with an automatic NCAA Division III Tournament bid at stake.
The Mustangs enter the women's semifinals with an overall record of 7-9, while Albright remains undefeated at 15-0. The two teams met twice this season; the first match was postponed, while Albright secured a 6-0 victory in the second meeting on April 25 in the final match of the regular season.
