17 Mustangs Score as No. 12 Men’s Lacrosse defeats Albright on Senior Night

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The No. 12 Stevenson men's lacrosse team (12-4 Overall, 5-1 MAC Commonwealth) defeated the Albright Lions (1-15 Overall, 0-6 MAC Commonwealth) on Wednesday night, 28-6. Prior to the contest, the team celebrated their senior class. In the contest, 17 Mustangs scored, Grant Zick tallied his 200th career-point, as Max Racich net his 100th career-goal.
 
Stevenson opened the game with 11-straight goals in the first quarter from 11 different Mustangs. Jack McKenna, Luke Wetzel, Andrew Searing, Gavin Gossen, Grant Zick, Dillion Linhardt, Max Racich, Darrell Curtis, Graeme McCrory, Hunter Bryant and Dominic Jennings.
 
Albright opened the second quarter with their first goal of the game, as Stevenson followed with eight goals. As Zick, Bryant, Curtis, Racich Linhardt, and Nik Leahan contributed to put Stevenson up 19-1 at halftime. 
 
In the third quarter, the Mustangs added five more goals as Gossen, Bryant, Linhardt, Alexander Wilson and Giovanni Daddario netted goals. 
 
In the fourth quarter, the Lions came out hot with three straight goals before Dominic Eckels put Stevenson's 25th goal away. Albright put their fifth goal away at the 10:16 mark, but Gary Bavetta and John Martin Vince replied with two more goals for the Mustangs. The Lions put away their last goal of the game at 2:29, but Luke Wetzel capped off the 28-6 win. 
 
In the contest Gossen led the points column with nine on the night with seven assists and two goals, as Zick followed with seven points off three goals and four assists. Curtis put up a hat trick with two assists, as Linhardt slotted a hat trick with an assist. Bryant tallied a hat trick, as Racich picked up three points with two goals and an assist. Taz Delaney, Sam Edwards, and Alex Petry all contributed an assist in the game. Tyler Merchant, Kieran Banks, Kaden Snead, Nicholas Parolin, and AJ Cather all spent time in net for a combination of 10 saves. 
 
The Mustangs will travel to Widener to finish out the regular season on Saturday. First face-off is set for 1 p.m. in Chester, Pa.
