STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's tennis team improved to 7-7 overall and 3-1 in MAC Commonwealth play after downing Alvernia by a 6-1 score.
Luke Appleman and
Simeon Smith won their fifth match of the year, 6-4, in No. 1 doubles.
Dominic Duncan and
Garrett Warren evened their record at 3-3 with a 6-1 win.
Appleman cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win in No. 1 singles to even up his record at 7-7, while Warren improved his record to 6-4 with a 6-3, 6-4 win in No. 3. Duncan shutout his No. 4 opponent, 6-0, 6-0 to even his record at 6-6.
Nate Kelly picked up his fourth win of the year in No. 5, 6-3, 6-2.
The Mustangs continue conference play in a road match against York (Pa.) on Tuesday, April 22 at 3:30 p.m.
