CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Stevenson men's tennis team overcame a 1-0 deficit in doubles play to take down host DeSales by a 4-3 score.
Luke Appleman and
Simeon Smith picked up the lone doubles win for the Mustangs in No.1, 6-1 - their fourth win on the year.
Garrett Warren and
Nickolas Valis lost a close match in No. 2, 6-4.
Nate Kelly and Delano Sagne Mengo dropped their No. 3 match, 6-2.
Appleman won his sixth match of the year in No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-0, while Smith won in straight sets, 6-0, 7-6 (7-4) - his fifth win on the year.
Warren dominated his No. 3 opponent, 6-1, 6-0. Kelly overcame a one-set deficit win his No. 4 match, 2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-7).
The Mustangs (6-7, 2-1 MACC) head to Albright for a MAC Commonwealth showdown on Tuesday, April 15 at 3 p.m.
