READING, Pa. – The Stevenson men's lacrosse team (10-3 Overall, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) toppled the Alvernia Golden Wolves (6-6 Overall, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) in MAC Commonwealth action, 25-3, on Saturday evening.
Stevenson opened the contest with a six-goal run starting off with two goals from
Max Racich in with assists from
Grant Zick.
Taz Delaney put the third goal up for Stevenson off a ball from
Gavin Gossen, as
Andrew Searing followed with an unassisted goal to mark his 100
th career-point. Rachich then put a fifth goal up for Stevenson, followed by
Darrell Curtis putting a goal away with an assist from Delaney. Alvernia put their first goal away at the 3:37 mark, but the Mustangs retaliated with three more goals, as Delaney, Curtis, and Gossen each posted a goal to notch a 9-1 lead.
Hunter Bryant opened a string of five goals for the Mustangs in the second quarter, as Searing and Zick followed with a goal each and Racich netted two. The Golden Wolves would reply at the 6:37 mark, but
Alexander Wilson and Zick each put away a goal to slot a 16-2 lead for Stevenson at half time.
Gossen and Curtis open the second half with two goals in the first minute of the third quarter. At the 8:37 mark,
Dillon Linhardt jumped in and put away an unassisted goal, as Wilson followed with another goal off a ball from
John Martin Vince. With just six seconds on the clock, Vince extended the Mustangs' lead to 21-2 heading into the fourth quarter.
Vince opened the fourth quarter for the Mustangs with their 22
nd goal of the game, as
Matt Byron followed to make it a 23-2 game. At 6:39, Alvernia posted their third goal of the game, but first-year
Ryan Grace replied with his first collegiate goal, followed by another goal from Vince, as Anderw Schuerger handed out his first career-assist to finalize the 25-3 win.
Racich led the Mustangs with a six-point game with five goals and an assist, as Gossen and Zick followed with two goals and three assists each. Delaney, Curtis, and Vince each contributed a four-point game, as Vince grabbed two goals and an assist. Searing netted two goals on the night as Bryant, Byron, Grace and Linhardt all netted on goal.

Kaden Snead, and
Nicholas Parolin all made appearances in the crease, making a combined, nine saves.
Stevenson will prepare to host MAC Commonwealth rival, No. 16 York (Pa.) on Wednesday evening under the lights of Mustang Stadium. The contest is set to begin at 7 p.m.
