Box Score STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's tennis team won its MAC Commonwealth opener against Eastern by a 5-2 score at the Greenspring Courts.
Luke Appleman and
Simeon Smith won their third match of the season in No. 1 doubles, 6-2.
Dominic Duncan and
Garrett Warren won a hard-fought match in No. 2, 7-6 (6-2), while
Nate Kelly and
Nickolas Valis won in No. 3, 6-3.
Appleman picked up his fourth singles win of the year in a 6-4, 6-1 triumph. Both Smith and Warren won in straight sets. Duncan won his No. 4 match in dramatic fashion, 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8).
The Mustangs (3-6, 1-0 MACC) will celebrate Senior Day in a non-conference match against McDaniel on Sunday, April 6 at 11 a.m.
