HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Stevenson women's tennis team closed out spring break play with a 4-3 defeat to Illinois Tech.
Ariella Stepleman and
Shelby Carter continued their superb play with a 7-6 (7-1) win in No. 1 doubles - their seventh win on the year.Â
Bethany Luckett and
Kara Chwang picked up Stevenson's other doubles win in a 6-4 triumph. Stevenson dropped the No. 3 match via withdraw.
Chwang would later win her third-straight singles match in No. 3 by a 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 (10-3) score. The Mustangs would drop the remaining singles matches in straight sets.Â
Stevenson (3-4) competes next in a non-conference road match against Gettysburg on Friday, March 28. First serve is set for 3:30 p.m.
