HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - The Stevenson men's tennis team picked up its second win of the season in a 6-1 triumph over Ripon College (Wis.) at the Spring Tennis Fest.
Simeon Smith and
Luke Appleman won their second match as a duo in No. 1 doubles by a 6-4 score.
Delano Sagne Mengo and
Nate Kelly picked up Stevenson's other win in doubles, 6-3.
Appleman won his second match of the season in No. 1 singles, 7-5, 6-1, while
Simeon Smith won his No. 2 match in three sets, 7-5, 4-6, 1-0 (10-5).
Dominic Duncan overcame a one-set deficit to take his No. 3 match, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7). The Mustangs won their other matches via withdraw.
The Mustangs (2-4) continue play at the Spring Tennis Fest on Wednesday, March 19 at 12 p.m. against Nazareth University (Rochester, NY).
