CHESTER, Pa. – The Stevenson University men's volleyball team won its 2025 Middle Atlantic Conference opener on Thursday night, taking down Widener 3-1 at the Schwartz Center.

Set scores were 25-18, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-12.

Tim Flanagan had 17 kills, with Anthony Pezzino getting 15 and Ryan Thenell adding in 13.

Jacob Sledz had three aces, with Pezzino getting two.

At the net, RC Getteau had six blocks, with Pezzino and Flanagan chipping in with two.

Connor Roth had 50 assists, while Flanagan had ten digs.

Flanagan hit .370 (17-7-27) in the match while Thenell hit .240 (13-7-25).

The Mustangs as a team hit .297.

Stevenson will head to Newark on Saturday with a tri-match with Rutgers-Newark and Purchase College.
