COLUMBIA, Md. - The Stevenson University baseball team completed its weekend on Sunday night, dropping a 14-6 slugfest to 25th-ranked Penn State Harrisburg under the lights at Blandair Park.

The Mustangs (1-3) made it close against the Nittany Lions (3-0), getting to within two at 6-4 in the seventh. Harrisburg, however, scored eight in the two innings to take a 14-4 lead into the bottom of the ninth.

Stevenson rallied for three of its own in the last inning, while collecting ten hits.

Kaige Garrity went 3-for-5 with an RBI, while
Dalton Reinhart had two hits and two RBI on the night. Seven different Mustangs hit safely.

John Delgado took the loss on the mound but struck out five in 3.1 innings of work allowing just two earned runs.

Trailing 6-0 going into the bottom of the seventh, Garrity got the Mustangs on the board when he doubled home
Christopher Manco. After
Nick Griffin singled home
Brandon Perillo,
Michael McGarry scored on a throwing error during a pick off. Griffin would later score on a RBI single by Reinhart.

In the ninth, Reinhart singled which scored
Chase Endres, while
Brady Bedway walked in a run.

On the mound, seven other players saw action as
Mason Gove,
Sommers Turner,
Zachary Marsh,
Dhruv Indelicato,
Ari Lonstein,
Chris Fortunato and
Caden Dail all took the hill. Marsh struck out two, while Turner struck out two in two innings of work.

Stevenson will open up at home on Saturday with a doubleheader against Washington College.
