COLMAR, Pa. - Stevenson Women's Hockey played their final road game of the season tonight at Arcadia. The Knights jumped out to an early lead, and though the Mustangs battled back, Arcadia came away with the 4-3 victory.
The Knights scored twice in the opening period, but the Mustangs were quick to respond at the start of the second with a power-play goal, courtesy of junior Meghan Croyle. Croyle's goal came via first year Kira Otto.
Arcadia extended their lead to two once again three minutes later, but Stevenson was back on the board in yet another successful power-play thanks to junior Kendall Girnt. Her goal was a career-first and Otto once again earned the assist, accounting for her eighth of the season.
By the end of the second period, Arcadia had a 4-2 lead. They were able to maintain this lead until the final minute of the third period in which Croyle notched her second goal of the game and ninth goal of the season on yet another power-play. Croyle's solo effort brings her season point total to a team-high 18.
In net, senior Olivia DeGuire kept busy, finishing the night with 43 saves.
The Mustangs round out their 2024-25 campaign tomorrow evening on home ice against Lebanon Valley College. Puck drop is scheduled for 5 p.m.
