BUENA VISTA, Va. – After nearly two weeks off due to weather related cancellations, the Stevenson University men's volleyball team began a two-day, three-match swing in Virginia by taking on Southern Virginia.
The Knights (10-0), ranked second in the AVCA Division III poll, took the match 3-0 over the Mustangs (4-3). Set scores were 25-11, 25-10 and 25-15. All three losses for Stevenson this year have come to ranked teams.
Stevenson was paced by
Ryan Thenell and
Anthony Pezzino who each had four kills, while
Tim Flanagan added in three.
Doug Hines had ten assists, while Flanagan had two blocks.
Tanner Laukhuff had five digs, with Flanagan having four and
Ryan Thenell netting three.
Stevenson will stay in Virginia, taking on Roanoke and host Randolph-Macon in Ashland on Saturday.
