REISTERSTOWN, Md. – The Stevenson women's ice hockey team (0-4) dropped a 4-0 decision to Alvernia (3-1) on Saturday afternoon at the Reisterstown Sportsplex.
The Golden Wolves opened the scoring at the 12:15 mark of the first period and added a second goal midway through the second. Alvernia tacked on two more in the third to secure the 4-0 victory.
The Golden Wolves held a 31-22 advantage in shots. Abby Smith led Stevenson with four shots, while Ashlee Morris paced the team with three blocked shots. Goaltender Maggie Sehnert made 27 saves in net for the Mustangs.
Stevenson returns to action on Friday night, hosting Hood College at 7 p.m.
