OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson field hockey team fell to WPI, 1-0, in a hard-fought NCAA First Round matchup on Wednesday night.
The lone goal of the contest came in the 24th minute for the Engineers. Despite consistent pressure throughout the match, the Mustangs were held scoreless by a strong performance from the WPI goalkeeper.
Stevenson dominated the attack, outshooting WPI 25-2 overall and 12-1 on target. Coco Wallace led the effort with four shots on goal, while Gracyn Catalano and Lauren Tobin each added two.
