OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson women's soccer team (5-2-4, 1-0 MACC) earned a 1-0 victory over Alvernia (3-5-3, 0-1 MACC) on Saturday afternoon.
The Mustangs controlled play throughout the match, outshooting the Golden Wolves 19-5 overall and 8-2 on goal. In the 35th minute,
Jalynn Mayfield-Rice broke through with an unassisted strike to give Stevenson the lead — a goal that ultimately stood as the game-winner.
