OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson women's soccer team (8-4-5, 4-2-0 MACC) earned a 1-0 victory over Hood (4-12-2, 1-4-1 MACC) on Wednesday evening.
The lone goal came in the 15th minute when Colleen Fanning found the back of the net off a feed from Kamille Purcell.
The Mustangs controlled play throughout, outshooting the Blazers 7-5 overall and 4-2 on goal. Fanning finished with two points, while Purcell added one assist. Goalkeeper Isabella Serano posted the shutout with two saves.
With the win, Stevenson clinched a spot in the MAC Commonwealth postseason and now turns its attention to Saturday's regular-season finale at York (Pa.). Kickoff is set for noon.
