READING, Pa. – The Stevenson women's soccer team (6-2-5, 2-0 MACC) defeated Albright (0-11-1, 0-2 MACC) 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Isabella Pecunes opened the scoring in the 19th minute, finding the back of the net off a feed from Karly Sheahan to give the Mustangs an early lead. Pecunes struck again in the 40th minute to double Stevenson's advantage and secure the 2-0 victory.
Despite being outshot 12-11 overall, the Mustangs held a 10-4 edge in shots on goal. Pecunes recorded a four-point outing with her two goals, while Sheahan added a point with her assist. Goalkeeper Isabella Serano made four saves to earn the shutout win.
Stevenson returns home next weekend to host Widener for Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 18.
