READING, Pa. – The Stevenson men's soccer team (6-4-2, 1-0-1 MACC) played to a 1-1 draw with Albright (5-3-4, 0-1-1 MACC) on Saturday evening.
The first half proved to be a tight, back-and-forth battle, with neither team able to break through. Stevenson held the offensive edge, outshooting Albright 4-1 overall and 2-0 on goal, but the match remained scoreless at halftime.
Albright opened the scoring in the 54th minute to take a 1-0 lead. The Mustangs responded in the 81st minute when Ellis Amo converted a penalty kick to even the match at 1-1.
Stevenson finished with a 15-5 advantage in shots and 7-3 shots on goal. Amo, Ryan Miller, and Gianfranco Vitella each tallied three shots and two on goal, while Amo posted a two-point night from his goal. Nolen Olson-Warwick made two saves in net.
The Mustangs return home Wednesday to host McDaniel in a nonconference matchup. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at Owings Mills East.
