OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson women's basketball team secured a crucial 56-44 win over the Hood Blazers in MAC Commonwealth play on Wednesday evening. This win marks Head Coach Jackie Boswell's 100th MAC Commonwealth win.

Hood opened scoring on the evening with 8:20 on the clock, and less than a minute later Emori Jeselskis put the Mustangs on the board to make it a 2-2 game. The Blazers built up an 12-6 lead with just under three minutes left, but the Mustangs closed it to make it a 12-10 game at the end of the first.

In the second quarter, Hood put the first two points on the board, but the team replied with four points and a layup and free throw from Stephenae Lawrence to notch a 17-14 lead for Stevenson. As the quarter continued, both teams battled to a 21-21 tie with just under two minutes remaining, but Jeselskis netted a pair of free-throws to give Stevenson the 23-21 lead heading into halftime.
