HUNTINGON, Pa. – The Stevenson University men's volleyball team earned a split in its first tri-match of the season on Saturday.
In the opener, Stevenson defeated first-year program Grove City 3-1, before falling to fifth-ranked Juniata in the nightcap 3-0.

Set scores in the opener were 25-19, 24-26, 25-19 and 25-19 in favor of the Mustangs. Stevenson hit .333 in the opening set and finished .218 on the day.
Tanner Laukhaff had a match-high 19 kills, while
Jacob Sledz added in 12 as did
Brian Farrell.
Sledz had five aces to go along with one assits.
RC Getteau had three blocks with Farrell and
Ben Grove each having two.
Kevin Kouchoukos had 50 assists with Sledz having one.
Lance Simon netted 11 digs.
Juniata 3, Stevenson 0
Juniata won the match by set scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-19.
The Mustangs hit .222 in the match, including a 11-3-24 mark in the second set.
Ryan Thenell had nine kills in the nightcap, with
Tim Flanagan getting eight and
Anthony Pezzino getting five.
Connor Roth had 14 assists with
Doug Hines getting seven.
Stevenson heads to Elizabethtown on Tuesday.
