PITTSTON, Pa. – The Stevenson men's ice hockey team registered a 1-0 win over the King's College Monarchs on Saturday evening.
The Mustangs and Monarchs battled for the first two periods, leading to scoreless results heading into the final period. In the third period,
Graeme McCrory netted the lone goal on the evening off a pass from
Evan Beers with less than 21 seconds left to lead Stevenson to victory.
Stevenson out shot the Monarchs 34-20 on the evening.
Blake Benson led the shots column with eight on the evening, as McCrory followed with five. McCrory and Beers each posted a point in the contest with a goal and assist, respectively.
Ford DeLoss stood in net stopping all 20 shots.
The Mustangs will stay on the road as the head up I-83 to Hershey, Pa. to face Lebanon Valley on Saturday in MAC play. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m.
