ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Stevenson Field Hockey traveled to Elizabethtown College this evening for a non-conference matchup. The game saw 47 scoreless minutes before the Mustangs struck, leading them to a 1-0 road victory.
The Mustangs came out strong, firing off nine shots in the first half. The Blue Jays' goalkeeper stood strong, making seven stops in that time.
It would take until the fourth quarter for Stevenson to get on the board, doing so thanks to graduate student Emma Gladstein for her team-leading third goal of the season. Through three contests so far, Gladstein totals eight points.
Gladstein led the Mustangs with three shots on goal with senior Haley Palmer adding two. Hailey Mertz, Annie Ingersoll, Emilie Rankin, and Lauren Tobin each added one shot on goal.
In net, sophomore Jordan Vradenburgh pitched her second shutout of the year with three saves.
With the win, the Mustangs improve to 3-0. They look to extend the streak to four on Saturday, September 7th with their 3:30 p.m. contest at Penn State Harrisburg.
