In the first five minutes, graduate student midfield
Mackenzie Click attempted at the goal that missed out left. Following the first goal by the Shorewomen, Kitzinger made an offensive push at the 10-minute mark. Sophomore goalkeeper
Alison Halstead made six saves in the first half despite a second goal by the Shorewomen.
In the first 12 seconds of the second half, graduate student defense
Kelly Schultz made a shot on goal, but was ultimately saved by Olivia Allen of the Shorewomen. Junior forward
Kamille Purcell notched a shot at the 63-minute mark. Following the final goal of the evening, the Mustangs made five more attempts between sophomore defense
Brooke Knabe and first-year defense
Laurel Hutchins.
Two shots in the second half arrived from Knabe, who also had one on goal. Hutchins also added three total. Halstead in goal totaled six saves and improves her season saves to 43 with a .843 save percentage.
Women's soccer is on the road this Wednesday, October 2 when they take on the Neumann University Knights at 4 p.m.
