Women’s Soccer plays to scoreless draw at Neumann

ASTON, Pa. - Stevenson Women's Soccer traveled to Neumann University this afternoon for a non-conference match. Though both teams produced double-digit shot counts by the game's end, the match finished in a 0-0 draw.

The shots were relatively even between the Mustangs and Knights as both teams finished the first half with five apiece. Stevenson added eight more shots in the second half, outperforming Neumann by one.

Eight of Stevenson's 13 shots would land on net thanks to Kelly Schultz, who led the charge with two shots on goal, Ericka Kitzinger, Madison Rytina, Julyana Medina, Brooke Knabe, Kayla Gerber, and Karly Sheahan.

At the other end, sophomore keeper Alison Halstead denied all three Neumann attempts for her first career shutout.

The Mustangs sit at 2-5-3 overall heading into conference play, which is slated to begin this Saturday, October 5th at Hood College. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Frederick.
