Sirasky nets first career goal in draw with St. Mary’s

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Stevenson Men's Soccer headed to St. Mary's this afternoon for a non-conference matchup. The outing went scoreless for almost 78 minutes before the Mustangs struck, but the hosting Seahawks scored with just eight seconds remaining to send Stevenson home with a tie.

Stevenson and St. Mary's were neck and neck offensively in the first half, finishing with six and seven shots, respectively. The Mustang offense was led by senior Bryant Seivers and junior PJ Cera with three shots each, followed by sophomore Brian Rogowski with two.

St. Mary's got ten shots off in the second half and junior Ryan Peterson came up big for three saves.

Junior Nick Sirasky would notch his first career goal at 77:49 via sophomore Ellis Amo-Gottfried to give the Mustangs the advantage. Amy-Gottfried's assist was his second of the year.

Stevenson maintained their lead until the final ten seconds of the game, after which St. Mary's Jack Nelson scored the equalizer to force a draw.

The tie puts the Mustangs at 1-3-3 on the season. Their next contest is scheduled for Wednesday, September 25th at 7 p.m. when they host fifth-ranked Dickinson College on the East Campus.
