OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball team began its week long homestand on the right note, as the Mustangs (5-4) snapped a two-game skid with a 3-0 win over Marymount (1-11) Wednesday night.
Set scores were 25-12, 25-17 and 25-14.
Stevenson hit the ball well, finishing at .186 (34-15-102) with a 17-4-31 performance in the third and final set (.419).
Kylie DesLauriers paced the Mustangs with nine kills and four aces, with
Rachel Lenz adding in eight kills and
Maren Zepfel with seven.
At the net,
Giulia Viglietta had five blocks, with
Zakara Masibo getting four and Lenz with two.
Makala Thompson had 16 assists for Stevenson, with
Samantha Simmers getting ten.
Nicolette Fuglestad had ten digs, with DesLauriers getting nine and Thompson eight.
Stevenson will host Lancaster Bible and Elizabethtown on Saturday before starting conference play on Wednesday against Albright.
