Six Mustangs record points in 4-4 tie with Marymount

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson hosted Marymount at Owings Mills East this afternoon in a non-conference outing. In their highest scoring game of the season so far, six different Mustangs recorded points in what would amount to a 4-4 draw.

Marymount was the lone team to score in the first half, doing so twice.

Stevenson would tie the game within the first nine minutes, thanks to juniors Gianfranco Vitella and PJ Cera. Vitelli's goal was his second of the season and came off a penalty kick while Cera's was a career-first and assisted by senior Adam White.

The Saints pulled ahead shortly after, but junior Zack Reightler was quick to provide the equalizer. White earned his second assist of the afternoon while senior Joey Brauer logged an assist of his own.

Marymount had one goal left in them late in the game but it was once again canceled out, this time by sophomore Brian Rogowski for his first of the season. Vitella picked up his third point of the outing on the assist.

Vitella and Rogowski led the Mustangs' offensive charge with four shots each, followed by Cera with three and White, Reightler, and Landon Eaton with two apiece.

In net, Nolen Olson-Warwick made one save.

The draw puts the Mustangs at 1-3-2 on the season. Their next contest is scheduled for this Saturday, September 21 at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
