WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Stevenson women's tennis suffered their first loss of the season in a 6-3 setback to host Catholic. Ariella Steplemen led the way for the Mustangs with wins in both singles and doubles.
Steplemen and
Shelby Carter took their No. 1 doubles match by a 6-2 score.
Tiffany Njemanze and
Mackenzie Dicke also won in doubles play, 6-3.Â
Carter dropped a hard-fought second set in her 6-2, 7-5 loss in No. 1 singles. Stepleman dominated her opponent in No. 2 singles, 6-2, 6-1.Â
Sofia McCoy and Njemanze dropped their No. 5 and 6 matches by scores of 6-3, 6-4 and 6-3, 6-3, respectively.
