WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Stevenson women's tennis team opened its fall season in dominating fashion by downing host Trinity Washington University by a 9-0 score. The Mustangs won via shutout in all but one of the matches.
Shelby Carter and
Ariella Stepleman won their No. 1 doubles match a 6-0 score, while
Sofia McCoy and
Kara Chwang won their No. 2 match by the same margin.
Yana Vaiman and
Mackenzie Dicke won in No. 3, 6-0.
Carter and Steplemen would take their No. 1 and 2 singles matches in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. Chwang, Dicke and McCoy would win their matches by the same 6-0, 6-0 score. Vaiman cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win in No. 6.
Stevenson (1-0) continues its fall season slate on Saturday, September 14 in a road match at Catholic on Saturday, September 14. First serve is set for 8 a.m.
