Women's Volleyball sweeps matches at DeSales Invitational to move to 3-0

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball completed its weekend with two wins at the DeSales University Invitational on Saturday with victories over Brockport and DeSales.
 
The Mustangs (3-0) won both matches by 3-1 scores.
 
Stevenson 3, SUNY-Brockport 1
After dropping the first set 25-21, Stevenson took the next three by scores of 25-19, 25-22 and 25-20.
 
The Mustangs excelled in the fourth set, hitting .270 (14-4-37).
 
Kylie DesLauriers had another great match, leading the way with 13 kills, with Rachel Lenz getting ten.
 
Zakara Masibo had five blocks, with Maren Zepfel getting four and Giulia Viglietta netting three.
 
Defensively, Nicolette Fuglestad had 24 digs.
 
Stevenson 3, DeSales 1
Same as the opener, the Mustangs dropped the opening set (25-17), before taking the next three 25-9, 25-12, 25-18.
 
In the second set, the Mustangs hit a season best 13-1-26 (.462)
 
Lenz led the Mustangs with 14 kills in the nightcap, with DesLauriers getting ten, as did Masibo.
 
DesLauriers had four aces against the Bulldogs.
 
Makala Thompson had 19 assists with Samantha Summers getting five.
 
Defensively, Fuglestad had 14 digs with DesLauriers getting 11.
 
Stevenson travels to Gettysburg on Wednesday.
