OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson Men's Soccer kicked off the 2024 season tonight with a matchup against Allegheny College. The Mustangs needed only one goal to come away with the win, which brought several career-firsts.
Senior Joey Brauer got the Mustangs on the board at the 33 minute mark with assistance from graduate student Jack Accorsi. Brauer's goal accounts for his first as a Mustang, and Accorsi's assist was a career-first as well.
The Mustangs registered ten shots, four of which landed on goal. Allegheny mustered six shots on goal, all of which were denied by junior keeper Nolen Olson-Warwick.
Tonight's victory also marks head coach Charlie Johnson's first career win as the Mustangs' leader.
Stevenson returns to action on Wednesday, September 4th with a trip to Salisbury University. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.
