OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University women's lacrosse team honored its two seniors on Saturday night by opening Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Conference play with a 20-2 win over Eastern at Mustang Stadium.
Bailey Krahl – who was honored prior to the game along with
Kara Yarusso – had five goals and two assists in the win while Yarusso had four goals.
Erin Steinberg netted four goals and five assists on the night with
Ava Treakle scoring two goals and adding in one assist.
Stevenson (7-4, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) had a 38-5 edge on shots and forced 14 Eagle (2-7, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) turnovers on the night.
Treakle had four ground balls, while
Isabelle VanEmburgh and
Sophia Murray had two caused turnovers each.
In goal, three netminders saw time. Regan Tolbert played the first half, while Anna Johnson and
Reilly Holstrom split the second half. Both had one save.
Stevenson continues Commonwealth play on Wednesday by hosting Hood.
