LANCASTER, Pa. – The Stevenson University men's volleyball team nearly pulled off a reverse sweep in its final regular season game on Friday night, before dropping a 3-2 decision to Lancaster Bible.
Set scores were 18-25, 19-25, 25-21, 25-20 and 11-15. The Mustangs were down 2-0 before rallying back to force a fifth and deciding set.
Tim Flanagan had 16 kills on the night, with
Ryan Thenell getting 11 and
Anthony Pezzino netting ten.
Flanagan and Thenell had two aces each for the Mustangs, who hit .227 as a team (61-26-154) and went 11-3-17 in the fifth set (.471).
Justin Novoa had 42 assists for Stevenson, with Elliot De Torre getting six blocks at the net.
Defensively, Pezzino had 15 digs with Novoa getting ten.
Stevenson – seeded fourth in the upcoming MAC Men's Volleyball Championship – will host fifth-seed Arcadia on Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
