SALISBURY, Md. – The Stevenson University softball team took on top ranked Salisbury on Wednesday, and the Sea Gulls (28-1) earned a sweep winning game one 12-0 and game two 9-1.
Salisbury 12, Stevenson 0 (Game 1 – 5 innings)
Salisbury scored six runs in the bottom of the first on the way to the opening win.
McKenzie Tobler had two hits in the opener, while Ava Strafursky and
Danielle Mills each hit safely.
Ky Vaughn struck out two in four innings.
Salisbury 9, Stevenson 1 (Game 2- 6 innings)
Stevenson scored in the sixth inning as Stafursky singled up the middle scoring
Mykaela Getz.
Maddie Bosley, Tobler, Stafursky and
Rebecca Henry all hit safely in the nightcap.
Grace Briggs struck out three in 5.2 innings of work, while
Molly Parker pitched in relief.
Stevenson heads to Eastern on Saturday.
