GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Stevenson women's tennis dropped its third MAC Commonwealth match in a row in an 8-1 setback to host Messiah.
Torrienne Emery and
Shelby Carter picked up the lone win for the Mustangs in their No. 1 doubles match, 8-3. Emery and Carter are now 7-4 on the season.Â
Emery dropped a hard-fought first set in No. 1 singles before losing the match in straight sets, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3. Carter would also fall in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3).Â
Erin Saunders fell in her No. 4 match by a score of 6-1, 7-6 (7-4).
Stevenson (4-8, 1-3 MACC) will look to get back in the win column in a home match against York College on Wednesday, April 24 at 3 p.m.
