STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dropped its fourth-straight match at home to conference rival York (Pa.) by an 8-1 score.
Torrienne Emery and
Shelby Carter picked up the lone win for the Mustangs in No. 1 doubles, 8-6. The win gives the duo an 8-4 record on the year.
Erin Saunders and
Tiffany Njemanze lost a competitive 8-6 match in No. 2, while
Kara Chwang and
Sofia McCoy fell by an 8-5 score in No. 3.
Emery and Carter dropped their No. 1 and 2 singles matches by scores of 6-3, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-3. The loss drops Carter's record to 6-6 on the season.
Chwang would fall in her No. 5 match, 6-4, 6-1. Chwang is now 4-5 on the year.
The Mustangs will travel to Salisbury to take on the Sea Gulls in a non-conference match up on Friday, April 26 at 2 p.m.
