STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's tennis cruised to a 9-0 win in its conference opener against Hood at the Greenspring Campus Tennis Courts.
Larry Johnson III and
Simeon Smith picked up their fourth win of the year in No. 1 doubles by an 8-2 score.
Sathwik Madasi and
Garrett Warren shutout their opponents in No. 2, 8-0, which evened up their record to 2-2. Stevenson won in No. 3 via default.
Johnson earned his fourth singles win of the year in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. Smith dominated his No. 2 opponent, 6-2, 6-0.
Warren improved his record to 2-2 in dominating fashion, 6-0, 6-0.
Honour Zan improved to 3-1 with a 6-1, 6-0 win, while
Dominic Duncan picked up his first career win, 6-0, 6-0. Stevenson won in No. 6 singles via default.
The Mustangs (2-7, 1-0 MACC) will look to stay undefeated in conference play when they hit the road to take on Messiah on Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m.
