OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Kara Yarusso scored six goals and assisted on three others as Stevenson (4-4) doubled up Maritime by a 20-10 score in women's lacrosse action on Wednesday afternoon.
Ava Treakle, Isabelle VanEmburgh and Sophia Murray each had three goals a piece as Stevenson won its second straight and improved to 3-2 at home.
Erin Steinberg had a game-high four assists, with Bailey Krahl, Yarusso, VanEmburgh also getting three assists on the day.
Murray picked up eight draw controls, with Yarusso having four. Yarusso also had five ground balls, as she caused two turnovers.
In goal, four different players split time with Regan Torbert playing 14 minutes while Abby Eash and Anna Johnston each had three saves. Reilly Holstrom had four minutes of action.
Stevenson put the game out of reach early, going up 7-0 in the first 11 minutes of the game. After Maritime (3-3) scored three straight goals to get within four at 7-3, the Mustangs scored eight straight to go up 15-3 and never looked back.
The Mustangs will host Rowan on Saturday.
