OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson men's volleyball team scored a key victory in their race to secure a Middle Atlantic Conference playoff spot on Wednesday night, defeating Arcadia 3-1.
Set scores were 25-22, 21-25, 25-23 and 25-23 in favor of the Mustangs, who improved to 3-2 in the league and 13-6 overall.
Tim Flanagan topped all attackers with 20 kills, hitting .395 on the night.
Ryan Thenell had 14 klls as he hit for .407.
Anthony Pezzino added in 11 kills. As a team, Stevenson hit .320 on the evening.
Justin Novoa had 53 assists, including his 2,000
th career assist at Stevenson.
Flanagan and
Aidan O'Brien each had four blocks, with Pezzino netting 14 digs.
Tanner Laukhuff had ten digs as well for the Mustangs.
Stevenson steps out of conference this weekend, heading to Randolph-Macon on Saturday. This starts a three-match road trip.
