ASHLAND, Va. – The Stevenson University men's volleyball team saw its win streak halted at four on Saturday, as the Mustangs (13-7) dropped a 3-1 decision to Randolph-Macon (15-8) Saturday afternoon.
Set scores were 29-27, 15-25, 25-21 and 25-21 in favor of the Yellowjackets.
Stevenson was led by 15 kills from
Tim Flanagan and 12 from
Anthony Pezzino, while
Ryan Thenell had eight.
Pezzino had three aces on the afternoon, while
Elliot De La Torre had four blocks. Thenell added in three and Pezzino had two.
Justin Novoa had 40 assists, while getting ten digs.
Stevenson hit .316 in the match, including a 13-1-20 mark in the second set for an attack percentage of .600.
The Mustangs have a busy week starting on Tuesday, as they begin a four match in five day slate at Marymount before going to Hood on Wednesday. On Saturday, the Mustangs host Misericordia and Sacred Heart.
