SPARKS, Md. – The Stevenson University women's lacrosse team ended its Spring Break on a winning note Saturday afternoon, defeating Montclair State 18-5 in a game at the US Lacrosse Facility.
Bailey Krahl had six goals, while
Kara Yarusso netted four as Stevenson (3-4) outshot Montclair (2-2) 38-15 en route to the win.
Erin Steinberg,
Isabelle VanEmburgh and
Ava Treakle each had two goals, with
Kellyann Coccia and
Sophia Murray scoring goals. Treakle, Steinberg and Yarusso each had two helpers in the win.
Murray came away with seven draw controls, with Treakle and Yarusso each having four. Murray forced five Montclair turnovers with VanEmburgh getting three. Murray had four ground balls in the loss, with VanEmburgh having three.
Four players saw time in goal, as
Abby Eash had two saves, as did
Reilly Holstrom.
Regan Torbert had a save as she got the win.
Anna Johnston played the final minute for Stevenson, who hosts Maritime on Wednesday.
