HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Stevenson men's tennis team dropped its Spring Tennis Fest opener to Dickinson by a 7-2 score. 

Larry Johnson III and Simeon Smith opened up play with an 8-7 (7-4) win in No. 1 doubles, while Sathwik Madasi and Nikolas Valis suffered a close defeat in No. 2, 8-6.

Johnson would then overcome a one-set deficit in No. 1 singles to take the match by a 4-6, 6-4, 10-7 score. Smith, who also took his match to three sets, fell by a 6-0, 5-7, 10-2 score in No. 2.

Madasi fell in his No. 3 match in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.

Stevenson (0-4) will look to pick up its first win of the season when they take on SUNY Oswego on Tuesday, March 12 at 9 a.m.
