HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Stevenson men's tennis team fell to 0-5 on the year after dropping its match to SUNY Oswego, 7-2, at the Spring Tennis Fest.
Larry Johnson III and
Simeon Smith kicked things off with a dominating 8-0 win in No. 1 doubles – their second in a row. In No. 2,
Sathwik Madasi and
Nickolas Valis lost a competitive match in No. 2, 8-5.
Johnson picked up his second win of the day in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, in No. 1 singles – his second straight.
Madasi and Smith dropped their No. 2 and 3 matches by scores of 6-4, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-3.
The Mustangs (0-5) will look for their first win of the season when they take on Lynchburg (Va.) on Thursday, March 14. First serve is set for 2 p.m.
