OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson men's volleyball (6-4) made quick business of the Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets (5-7) on Thursday evening in straight sets. The final set scores were 25-19, 26-24, and 25-22.
Junior opposite/ outside hitter
Ryan Thenell finished with 11 digs, and first-year outside hitter
Tanner Laukhuff finished with seven, while junior outside hitter
Tim Flanagan and first-year outside hitter
Anthony Pezzino each added six. Senior setter
Justin Novoa finished the evening with 35 total assists and three digs.
Flanagan topped the Mustangs with a .457 hit percentage and 18 kills. Thenell, O'Brien, Flanagan, and graduate middle blocker
Elliot De La Torre each added a solo block.
Flanagan and
Adam DeRubertis each added a service ace. Thenell and Pezzino added seven kills while De La Torre added four.
The Mustangs are back in action at home on Wednesday, Feb. 28, beginning conference play against the Widener University Pride beginning at 7 p.m.
