GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Stevenson women's lacrosse (0-2) finished a tough afternoon against No. 2- ranked Gettysburg (1-0) on Saturday afternoon. The final score was 12-2.
Scoreless in the first quarter, the Mustangs allowed three Gettysburg goals. Sophomore attack/midfield
Marisa Massimini picked up an early game caused turnover at 13:31. With just over a minute left, junior midfield
Isabelle VanEmburgh added a caused turnover that was recovered by senior midfield

Regan Torbert totaled three sfirst-quarter saves in goal as the quarter ended 3-0. In the second, the Bullets secured four more goals. VanEmburgh picked up a ground ball and first-year attack/ midfield
Ava Treakle was credited with two. The Mustangs remained scoreless, 7-0, going into halftime.
In the third quarter, Torbert was persistent on defense, with five saves. the Bullets added five more goals while the Mustangs picked up an early quarter caused turnover credited to VanEmburgh. The Mustangs scored in the fourth quarter, with the first goal arriving at 8:27 on the clock from graduate student defense/midfield
Sophia Murray. The second, scored by Yarusso, arrived with 5:06 remaining. Yarusso picked up a caused turnover with 39 seconds left, ending the game with the final 12-2 decision.
On the afternoon, senior attack
Bailey Krahl had three shots and two on goal. VanEmburgh picked up two total caused turnovers and Murray added five draw controls.
The Mustangs return home on Saturday, Feb. 24, taking on the Washington College of Maryland Shorewomen for a 1 p.m. game at Mustang Stadium.
