REISTERSTOWN, Md. - Stevenson Women's Hockey rounded out their series with Wilkes this afternoon at the Reisterstown Sportsplex. Despite a 5-1 loss, senior goaltender Olivia DeGuire notched the best performance of her career, breaking and setting several records in the process.
DeGuire totaled 71 saves against the Colonels, making 22 stops in the first, 30 in the second, and 19 in the third. Her 46th save of the game in the second period made her the all-time record holder at 1,469, and by the conclusion of the game, she had expanded that record to 1,494. Her 71 stops in this afternoon's outing are also a single-game program record.
Stevenson's lone goal was scored two minutes into the first period by junior Meghan Croyle for her second of the weekend and fourth on the year. She was assisted by sophomore Abby Smith, accounting for her second of the series and fourth of the year.
The loss puts the Mustangs at 2-8 overall and 2-6 in conference. Wilkes marks Stevenson's last conference series of 2024, but the Mustangs return to play on December 29th and 30th at the Reisterstown Sportsplex for a pair of non-conference contests against Trine University.
