IMMACULATA, Pa. – In their final game before the Christmas Break, the Stevenson University men's basketball team dropped a 71-68 decision to Immaculata on Wednesday afternoon.
For Stevenson (5-3),
Kole Beaman had 16 points while
Mason Jones added in 15.
Cameron Sapienza scored 15 as well, with
Ronald Ayers netting seven.
Sapienza had eight rebounds, with Ayers getting six. Jones and Beaman, along with Ayers each had three assists. Sapienza also added in three steals.
Stevenson trailed most of the second half, but took the lead with 7:58 left on a layup by Beaman at 56-55. Beaman's layup with 5:30 left in the game gave the Mustangs a 63-58 lead, their largest lead of the half.
A 9-0 run by Immaculata (4-7) gave the Mighty Macs a 67-58 lead which it held for good. Stevenson would get back within two at 67-65 with 15 seconds left but would not get any closer.
Stevenson will head to Randolph-Macon on Saturday, December 28, to take on the Yellow Jackets as part of their holiday tournament.
