TOWSON, Md. - The Stevenson University men's basketball team showed no signs of rust after a week off, sinking 52.6 percent (41-of-78) of its shots on Sunday in a 96-47 wire-to-wire win over Goucher (2-8) in the first meeting between cross-county rivals since 2018.
The Mustangs (5-2) saw 12 players score in the win, and also had a commanding 50-24 edge on the glass.
Ronald Ayers had 21 points on 9-of-16 shooting, while
Cameron Smith,
Zach Bolgert and
Kole Beaman each had ten points in the win.
Ayers also led the Mustangs in rebounds with eight, with
Cameron Sapienza grabbing six.
Sapienza and
Noah Ihezue each had three steals for Stevenson, who will head to Immaculata on Wednesday afternoon.
