SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball team dropped its first game at the 19
th annual River Hawk Classic hosted by Susquehanna University, falling to William Smith (21-3) 3-0 on Friday afternoon.
Set scores were 25-12, 25-16 and 25-14.
For the Mustangs (13-14),
Zakara Masibo had a team-high five kills, while
Maren Zepfel,
Rachel Lenz and
Sydney Salazar each had three.
Makala Thompson had ten assists and two aces, with Lenz also adding in two aces.
Lilly Hornickle had five blocks, with Salazar getting three.
Nicolette Fuglestad had nine digs on the afternoon for Stevenson, who will take on host Susquehanna and the University of Rochester tomorrow in the second day of the classic.
